Your Events

The Events tab is located in the global section of your sidebar. This is where you can view all events that are assigned to you or are created by you. It compiles those events from all of the streams you are part of within the workspace. Instead of checking each stream's Events tab, save time by checking the global Events tab.

How to use the events tab

Use the filter to view events by status. The default filter has a star icon next to it. For example, if you select All Open as default, you'll only see open events when you click the Events tab. To set the default view, simply hover over a selection and check or uncheck the star.

NOTE: Changing the default filter doesn't adjust the current view. For example, in the image below, the default filter has been changed, but the currently selected filter is still All Open.

How to view the events table

Clicking the filter icon next to each column's name will rearrange the order of the rows. Following are the 7 columns of the Events table:

Name Filter sorts the events in the ascending/descending order of the event names.
Stream Filter sorts the events in the ascending/descending order of the stream names.
Priority

Filter sorts the events in the ascending/descending order of priority.

  • Ascending: No priority < Low < Normal < High
  • Descending: High > Normal > Low > No priority
Added Filter sorts the events in the ascending/descending order of the date an event was added.
Updated Filter sorts the events in the ascending/descending order of the date an event was updated.
Due Filter sorts the events in the ascending/descending order of the due date of an event.
Collaborators

Filter sorts the events in the ascending/descending order of the names of collaborators.

  • Your name is displayed as "Me."
  • If an event is assigned to you and other teammates, the ascending/descending order will consider "Me" as the primary collaborator.

TIP: If you'd like to go back to the default view after applying the filters, click the reset icon located above the table's upper right corner.

How to make changes to an event

You can edit the details, add comments, or add files directly from the Events tab.

  1. Click the name of the event you'd like to edit. The event appears on the side.
  2. Make changes to the event. When editing the name of the event, click the checkmark to save.
  3. Changes are automatically saved and applied to the table.
TIP: To jump right to the stream where the event was created, select the event and click the arrow icon (Jump to stream button) next to the event name.

Tips for using the events tab

  • To mark an event completed or closed, simply click the checkbox located left to an event's name.
  • Clicking the stream's name under the Stream column will take you to the selected stream.
  • The Due column displays a bar to visualize how far you're away from the due date. Hover over the cell to see the exact due date.
  • Drag and drop the columns side to side to re-order to your preference.
  • Resize columns by positioning the cursor on either side of a column and dragging the cursor arrows left or right.
